Landr offers a host of services mixing distribution, audio mastering, sample libraries, and plugins to create a one-stop-shop for audio needs. That leads to complex pricing with bundles including some services, but not others, basic versions of some services on some tiers, advanced versions of the same services on other tiers. It can be challenging to make sense of it all, but that's why we're here. Let's breakdown Landr's plans and pricing. Note, that all higher tier plans include the features of the lower tier plans, so we'll just focus on what you get with each plan that you don't get with the other.

Not Sure Where to Start?

Find the Right Music Distributor Faster

Skip the endless comparison videos and confusing pricing pages. Use the quick selector to narrow down the best distributor for your goals, budget, release strategy, and growth stage.

Want deeper analysis? The ROI Calculator estimates real costs, revenue splits, taxes, annual fees, and long-term impact across distributors.

Distribution Basic: $24 annually

Keep 100% of revenue from digital stores

Unlimited releases to +150

Landr distributes through FUGA, a 3rd party facilitator. That would mean you don’t actually get to collect 100% because some of that money likely goes to paying their FUGA. It’s not the biggest issue, but as your revenue grows, small percentage losses can add up to significant amounts. But, there are revenue leaks across all distributors so it’s really about comparing the size of the leaks.

Release Review Time 7-10 Days (Based on best effort and not guarantees)

This is the time it takes to check the release for anything that would cause it to be rejected by DSPs. The release won’t be distributed until after it’s been reviewed so the longer this takes, the longer you wait for your release to show up in stores.

7 - 10 days might seem like a long time if you’re eager to get your music in stores. At the same time, the best practice is to give a release 1-2 weeks before it goes live. That gives time to pitch for Editorial placement, request media coverage, do Pre-orders, Pre-saves, etc.

Support Response Time: 5 Days (Based on best effort and not guarantees)

The key phrase here is “Response” Landr isn’t saying it’s going to resolve your issue in 5 days or even address it. A Response can be a simple “We got your message and will reply soon.” It’s possible an issue can take longer than 5 days to be legitimately addressed.

They’re also careful to note that it’s “Based on best effort and not guarantees” so they’re telling you it could be longer than 5 days.

Scale is a major issue. You’ll hear me use this analogy a lot, but when it comes to support, Landr is like squeezing a watermelon through a golf hole. It’s open to all, and when that’s the case, service quality gets crunched as popularity grows. When Landr was less popular, its support was heralded. As it has grown, criticism of its customer support has spiked.

Artist Included: 1

If you’re not operating as a label, this is all you need. The key here is collaborations and how that’s handled. If a distributor considers a second Primary artist on a release to be another Artist on your account, you’ll be charged for each collaborating artist you give that label. In most instances, collaborating artists are labeled features, so it isn’t likely to be an issue for most.

Easy Cover Licensing $15 per Track, one Time

Great feature if you release cover songs and want global coverage and plan to offer digital download purchases.

Lyrics Management with MusixMatch

MusixMatch provides song lyrics to DSPs. One of its top features is synced song lyrics for Karaoke styled display. Landr does not offer to sync your lyrics. Instead, you can use your Landr subscription to gain access to a verified MusixMatch account where you can add and sync your lyrics manually.

There’s a bit of a conflict where Spotify is concerned. MusixMatch’s website states that it doesn’t charge anything extra for distribution to Spotify. Landr states that a Premium Spotify subscription is required in order to add synced lyrics through MusixMatch. I’m not sure why that would be the case. Once I know for sure, I’ll update.

Royalty Splits

As long as you don’t have to pay and your collaborators don't have to pay, it's a great deal. A few of the top distributors charge one way or the other.

Monetize on YouTube Content ID & Social Media

20% Commission applies across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. The commission applies to all plans, so you can’t avoid it by upgrading.

Library Storage: 30GB

Landr’s unique system makes storage space valuable. If you’re using their mastering services and other features, you’ll have a library stored there. The more tracks you master, the more space you’ll need.

Here we get into more advanced features, which is why there’s a higher price. The question is, are any of the features worth the upgrade?

Distribution Pro: Normally $90 - 50% off $45/Yr.

Release Review: 2 - 5

The same rule applies as above, just 2 - 5 days instead of 7. A two week window is still advised. That being said, the faster the release is reviewed, the larger your margin for error. If something isn’t right, you have more time to get it fixed. That particularly matters when customer support is shaky. You’re not running up against the clock.

This is the best offer for Release review windows. It does not reduce with a higher priced plan.

Advanced Reporting

I wish it was normalized for distributors to show sample royalty reports so there was something to compare. Alas, they don’t. We can’t determine how much more valuable an advanced report is vs. a basic report. There’s no documentation that walks through what you get with one vs. the other. It’s entirely left up to our imagination. More information is something people value, but quantity isn’t the same as quality. You don’t just need information, you need information that matters. That’s why sample reports or detailed docs would be great to see.

Custom Label Name

If you can’t pick a custom label name, your distributor - in this case Landr - is listed as the label. Maybe you don’t want everyone being able to see which distributor you use or you’re an actual label. In any of those cases, this would have value. If you’re not a label, and you don’t care if Landr is listed as your label, this has no value.

Custom release date

This is appealing to Distrokid users, because that’s the only distributor I’ve ever seen that restricts users from selecting a release date. No other distributor I know of does this. Having it listed as a feature is nickel and diming. It should be a default feature across all plans.

Country Exclusions

Applying country restrictions matter because licenses for cover songs, samples, etc. may not extend globally. You might want to use a native distributor for foreign territories like China because they offer better marketing. Barring those unique situations, you won’t find value in this feature.

Delivery of High Quality Files (Dolby Atmos)

Apple Music pays 10% more for streams of songs mixed in Dolby Atmos/Spatial Audio. This feature has a real impact on revenue. Beyond that, it’s also a matter of creativity, if you’ve chosen to release a song mixed in the technology, you want people to hear it that way.

Metadata Updates

Here are some examples of what you could possibly change:

  • Title

  • Artist Names

  • Genre

  • Release date

  • Track codes: ISRC, UPC

  • Songwriters

  • Publishers

This is what is considered Metadata. To make any other type of change, you must remove and re-upload the release.

50 GB of Library storage

Distribution + Mastering: $70/Yr.

Unlimited Online Mastering

WAV Masters: 6/Month

Unlimited online mastering isn’t tied to the file types. Landr allows you to download Masters in multiple file types: Mp3, WAV, HD WAV, etc. You can generate an unlimited number of Masters, but you can only download 6 in WAV format every month.

Note that Landr only accepts WAV files for distribution. If you’re using its mastering service for songs you intend to distribute, this functions like a distribution cap. Effectively, if you can only master 6 songs a month, you can only release 6 songs a month. It shouldn’t be a big deal, because it’s not a good idea to release over 6 songs a month in most instances.

Studio Standard: $144/Yr.

WAV Masters: Unlimited

Unlimited WAV masters, means Unlimited distribution for creators using its mastering service. If you plan on using Landr’s mastering service and you want to distribute more than 6 songs per month, this plan is essential.

Landr Mastering Plugin SE (Standard Edition)

Self recording artists and producers will find value here. You add the plugin to your recording software and can master your releases instantly. Navigating to Landr’s website, uploading tracks, and waiting for processing wouldn’t be a thing. This can save a lot of time just by cutting out the upload and downloading parts.

3 Million Royalty Free Samples

Plugins and Instruments

$2,000+ worth of plugins from partners Arturia, Spitfire, and more

200GB of Library Storage

This is for creatives wearing multiple hats: recording artist, producer, engineer, label, etc. You’re recording and composing songs, mixing, and distributing. If that’s your bag, you may find a lot of value here. Any of these plugins or samples could cost more than the price of Landr’s annual subscription on their own.

Premium Mixing and Promotional Course

YouTube university is the elephant in the room here. It’s a nice throw in, but not a reason to pay the higher price.

High quality Digital Audio Workstation Streaming

Working with artists remotely, this tool allows you to connect your DAW and collaborate live. Everyone will see and hear the same thing at the same time. There’s value here if you’re working with engineers, producers, and recording artists in other states and countries remotely.

Studio Pro: $165/Yr.

HD WAV Masters

If you want your music delivered in the highest audio quality, this is important. HD WAV files preserve every nook and cranny of your mix. Landr distributes releases in this format, other distributors will compress them down to 16 bit WAV files for distribution.

Landr Mastering Plugin Pro

Unlimited revisions and advanced personalization controls. Effectively, you get the most power over the outcome of the Master with Pro.

500 GB of Library storage
