About

Payusnomind and Marketing Brainz

Payusnomind exists for artists, producers, and small labels who are tired of hype, buzzwords, and sponsored “reviews,” and just want to understand what actually works.

Where this started

When I started Payusnomind, I was an active artist trying to figure out how to get my music heard without going broke or getting played. I was looking for someone who understood both the creative side and the technical side of the business.

Most of what I found came from one of two camps:

I grew up broke, so there was never extra money to outsource anything. I could not afford a designer, so I learned design. I could not afford a web developer, so I learned to code. I could not pay a marketing company, so I became a marketer. Every gap forced me to pick up another skill and get closer to how things actually work under the hood.

From curiosity to Marketing Brainz

I have always been drawn to journalism and deep research. Once that curiosity met the analytical side of my brain, Payusnomind turned into more than just a blog. It became an ongoing investigation into how the music business really works for independent artists.

Marketing Brainz is the name for that work in one place: breakdowns of distribution companies, funding options, playlisting services, smart link platforms, Web3 tools, and direct-to-fan setups, backed by real numbers, tests, and long-term use, not just first impressions.

What you will find here

The site is built to answer the questions I had as an artist who also cares about data: “What am I actually getting for my money?” and “What does this look like over time, not just on launch day?”

A lot of companies make their money selling hope to artists. My goal is to help you protect your budget, understand the fine print, and make decisions that fit your goals instead of theirs.

How this is funded

Some links on the site are affiliate links. When you choose to sign up through those links, I may earn a commission, at no additional cost to you. That support helps pay for the time, testing, and tools required to keep digging.

I do not sell positive coverage. If a product does not hold up over time, I say that. If something is worth testing, I explain why and for who. The goal is not to convince you to spend money, but to help you spend it with clear eyes if you choose to.
